Phillips Chapel has served this community for eighty years, and our mission is to reach out beyond ourselves and minister as disciples of Jesus Christ to the total needs of the people of the Tucson area—through, loving, teaching, visiting, caring, sharing, helping, accepting, involving, communicating, and witnessing.

Christian Outreach to All |
The Christian Methodist Episcopal Church throughout its glorious history has been dedicated to ministering to the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual needs of its membership. We have consistently involved ourselves in the liberation of the oppressed from social injustice, poverty and ignorance. There are over eight hundred thousand Christian Methodists living in America, Africa and Haiti; over three thousand churches serve our people. We have five colleges, a seminary, a hospital, and several low-rent and senior citizen housing complexes. Because of the dedicated ministry of our Church, thousands of men and women have received Jesus Christ into their lives. Neither race, nationality nor color is a criteria for membership into our Church. Our doors are open to all who desire to flee from the bondage of sin and be saved.

Ministering to the Elderly and Helping them stay in touch |
The great commission of the church is to go into all the world. We as a church body realize that the world starts right here in Tucson and that the elderly of our community are still an integral part of that world. As a church body we are committed to visting, calling, praying, clothing and feeding the elderly of our community. Our purpose is to let them know that they have not been forgotten.

Ministering to the needs of children |
Another important aspect of our ministry is to encourage our children to be productive, complete individuals. In addition, we provide the necessary equipment and tools to enhance their self esteem, to install the importance of family and to motivate them to achieve the greatest that life has to offer.
We recognize that children children are one of God’s greatest gifts, and it is our purpose to endeavor to help prepare them to be strong in character, skillful in service, and to achieve the best life has to offer.
